Just finished binge-reading/watching "Attack on Titan" and it got me thinking about how anime adaptations stack up against their manga counterparts. IMO, AoT's anime did an incredible job bringing the manga to life - the music, VA, and animation added layers that the manga couldn't visually provide.
But then there's "Tokyo Ghoul" where I felt the anime kinda dropped the ball compared to the manga, especially in later seasons.
What are your thoughts? Any adaptations you think did the original manga justice, or maybe even surpassed it?
