I just wrapped up Neon Genesis Evangelion and man, those endings have me thinking. The original series finale felt like a deep dive into the characters’ psyche, more on hope, showing us their growth and possibilities. Then, The End of Evangelion movie took a darker turn, throwing us into despair with its apocalyptic vibes. Personally, I lean towards the movie giving us a more 'real' conclusion, dealing with the harsh realities and showing that even in despair, there's a glimmer of hope with Shinji and Asuka's final scene. Curious what you all think - is it more about hope for you, or does the despair resonate more?
