I just got through with Chainsaw Man and wow, Denji's journey was not at all what I expected. Going in, thought it was all gonna be about the action and gore, which don't get me wrong, were totally insane. But the deeper dive into his character, his desires and fears, really caught me off guard. It's not often you get that mix of horror and emotional depth in a way that feels so... real? The way his relationship with power and his own humanity gets tangled up was something else. Made me rethink what it means to have a dream or a goal amidst chaos. Really didn't see myself getting this invested in the characters, but here we are. Would love to hear what parts hit others the most.
