It’s like seeing Lum zap Ataru for the first time all over again—didn’t expect the remake to go so hard on the slapstick and meta jokes. The way they played with old school gags but added that modern twist, especially with Lum’s reactions to tech, really caught me off guard. Then there’s that scene where Cherry tries to “predict” the future with a smartphone and totally fails, which cracked me up and kind of poked fun at how times have changed. If this style catches on, maybe we’ll see more series mixing classic humor with today’s memes. What if this is the start of a new cycle, like how Rumiko Takahashi’s stuff always seems to come back around?
