I've been binge-watching anime for years now and it seems like I've covered most of the mainstream ones. You know the usual suspects, Naruto, One Piece, Death Note, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, etc. But now I'm in dire need of something fresh and often overlooked.
Don't get me wrong, I love these popular titles, but there's this excitement in unearthing lesser-known series that polish unique storylines, possess bolder character development, and frankly, just differ from the trodden path.
I'm a huge fan of every genre be it action, thriller, psychological, romance, or slice of life. So genre isn't a problem for me! To give you a sense of what I like, some of my favourite underrated picks so far have been Ergo Proxy, Paranoia Agent, and Aoi Bungaku Series. These managed to intrigue me long after I finished the last episode, and I'm hoping for similar gems.
Since we are all stuck at home, it's an ideal time to dive deeper into the anime world beyond the usual picks topping every list. I know many of you have impeccable taste, and your recommendations would mean the world to me. Let's keep this thread going and share the joy of discovering new anime together. After all, the beauty of anime is that there is so much to explore, with thousands of unique and innovative series waiting to be found.
