Just finished another binge watch of Shokugeki no Soma, absolutely struck by the beautiful way it integrates the variety of global cuisine cultures. Each dish featured in this epic culinary showdown carries the essence of the country it represents, be it the flamboyant French, creative Italian, traditional Japanese, or the 'hotpot' of American cuisine.
One of the most impactful scenes has to be the monkfish preparation by Soma showcasing Icelandic cooking methods; it was a lesson in respecting the ingredient and leveraging what nature offers.
